Visco-Elastic Free Convective Flow past a Vertical Porous Plate through a Porous Medium with Suction and Heat Source

Abstract

The hydromagnetic free convective flow of a visco-elastic electrically conducting fluid past an infinite vertical porous plate in presence of constant suction and heat source has been analyzed. Approximate solution of the problem is obtained by using multi-parameter perturbation technique. The velocity field, temperature field, skin friction and rate of heat transfer are studied and the effects of visco-elastic parameter are illustrated with the combination of other flow parameters involved in the problem. The relevancy of this problem has been noticed in the fields of geophysics and astrophysics.
