Forecasting of Monthly Mean of Maximum Surface Air Temperature in India

Abstract


In this paper, forecasting of monthly mean of maximum surface air temperature of India using seasonal autoregressive integrated moving average (SARIMA) model, feed forward neural networks (FFNN) and hybrid models are discussed. Prediction ability of the models compared with the various statistical methods. The results show that there is an increasing trend in the monthly mean of maximum SAT in India.
